Born
in
the
very
South
of
the
Netherlands,
I
actually
spend
most
of
my
youth
in
Belgium.
After
secondary
school
I
enrolled
in
Law
School
at
the
University
of
Maastricht.
After
3
years
studying
and
working
simultaneously,
I
took
a
year
of
to
travel.
Even
though
I
planned
to
go
onwards
to
Australia,
I
spend
a
whole
year
in
South
East
Asia
and
got
involved
in
the
diving
industry.
After
graduating
at
Dutch
Law
School
in
1999, I
wanted
to
spend
more
time
scuba
diving
professionally.
Therefore
I
moved
to
Thailand
where
I
worked
as
the
manager
of a
dive
vessel
in
the
Andaman
Sea.
It
was
there
that
I
met
a
French
yacht
owner
who
talked
me
into
joining
him
on a
sailing
trip.
And
that's
how
it
all
started...I
had
found
my
passion.
Since 2000
I've
been
sailing
extensively
and
by
now
it's
hard to
imagine
life
without
it.
My
experience
ranges
from
sailing
lasers
and
platu's
to
sailing
a
Volvo
60
and
large
cruising
yachts;
from
repairs
&
refits
to
yacht
brokering;
from
coastal cruising
to
long
distance
offshore
racing
and from
fundraising
to
running
campaigns. Also
I've
been
involved
in the
publication
of "The
Cruising
Almanac",
an
extensive
guide
for
the
watersport
industry
in
Asia.
Presently
I'm
co-writing
a tv-program about
sailing
&
diving
in
South
East
Asia.
Clearly
I'm
always
keen
to
hear
about
racing,
delivery
and
sponsorship
opportunities.
